Sherilyn Wolter was born on November 30, 1951 in
Clarksburg, West Virginia and raised in Sacramento, California. Originally
an English major, she transferred to California State University and
changed her major to drama to pursue an acting career. She immersed
herself in collegiate and community theater, then headed to Los Angeles.
In L.A., Sherilyn appeared at the Manhattan Beach Civic
Center, the Venice Shakespeare Festival and the Glendale Center Theater
where she won a best actress of the year award. Around this time, she
landed a recurring role in the TV series B.J. and the Bear.
Sherilyn's first big break in 1983 when she was cast as
Celia Quartermaine on the daytime drama General Hospital. After
leaving that show, she thrilled Santa Barbara fans in 1987 as the
evil Eleanor Norris/Elena Nikolas. In the early 1990s, she briefly
replaced Hunter Tylo as Taylor Hayes on The Bold and the Beautiful
and played George on Guiding Light.
Sherilyn had guest shots on primetime shows like Matlock,
Father Dowling Mysteries, Baywatch and Who's the Boss? She also
appeared in the feature film Eyewitness to Murder and the European
