Brief Character History

Emily DiNapoli was first introduced when she and her two older sisters, Celeste and Lisa, bailed their alcoholic father out of jail. Despite these less-than-ideal circumstances, Emily was thrilled to be reunited with Celeste, who had abandoned her sisters for a stint in L.A. years earlier. Celeste invited Emily and Lisa to move into her apartment, which they did. Then, Emily became a student at the high school that had Laura Asher as its principal.

A bit bookwormish, Emily loved reading Megan Richardson's romance novels. When Megan came to Santa Barbara to write the autobiography of millionaire C.C. Capwell, Emily got herself hired as her assistant, typing out Megan's notes. Before long, Emily met Megan's handsome son, Greg Hughes. She instantly became smitten with him, but he seemed more interested in a feisty girl named Missy. Thanks to Megan's matchmaking, however, Emily became Greg's date for Mason and Julia Capwell's wedding.

Greg and Emily soon grew closer. She supported him when he turned out to be C.C. Capwell's son. She also supported Greg in his grief about losing his leukemia-stricken mother. Eventually, Emily and Greg made love. Although Emily later received a modeling job offer, she turned it down to comfort Greg when Mason was presumed dead.

Greg proposed to Emily and she accepted. They were married in an informal ceremony with Celeste, C.C. and Sophia present. Soon after, Emily told Greg that she might be pregnant, but that didn't turn out to be the case. She was last seen when the Capwells tried to help an alcoholic Mason with intervention.
