Brief Character History

As Dash and Julia grew closer, Mason got very jealous and turned to the bottle. He then publicly accused Dash of killing his girlfriend, Eileen Becker, during his past as a hospital intern. However, Dash explained that he was taken off Eileen's surgery before she died. Julia and Mason subsequently divorced, largedly due to his alcoholism. Meanwhile, Dash fell madly in love with Julia.

While on the rebound from Mason, Julia slept with Dash one time and came to regret it. She decided to break it off with Dash, but his advances went too far and Julia later accused him of rape! Dash was shocked by his arrest and insisted that he loved Julia. She took him to court, but he was acquitted. This enraged Julia, who went on a personal vendetta to "get" Dash. She kidnapped him to a secluded cabin and tried to get him to admit that he raped her. Ironically, Dash wound up saving Julia's life.

Later, using the name "Nick", Dash began an affair with Julia's psychologist, Denise Foxworthy. He also developed a friendship with the much-hated Flame Beaufort and was lusted after by Julia's eccentric sister, Augusta Lockridge. It wasn't until Dash saved a woman from being gang-raped in a bar that he finally realized that he did rape Julia. Devastated, he tried to redeem himself. He admitted his crime and volunteered for community service.

During his last months in Santa Barbara, Dash met and fell in love with Katrina Ruyker, a naïve girl from Germany who happened to be C.C. Capwell's houseguest. Needless to say, Dash's relationship with Katrina drew widespread disapproval. Eventually, they broke up after Dash accepted a medical job in St. Louis at Katrina's insistence.
