BRAINARD
Ted Capwell,
1991-93
A native of California, Michael Brainard was born in Los
Angeles on November 23, 1965. He began acting in high school. In 1988, he
got his first big break when he landed the role of Joey Martin on the New
York soap opera All My Children. He spent two-and-a-half years on
that show, but his storyline was abruptly ended in 1991.
Upon his return to California, Michael was chosen to
resurrect the role of Ted Capwell on Santa Barbara, which had
previously been played by Todd
McKee. Michael stayed with SB until the last
episode.
After leaving daytime, Michael became very active in
theater around Los Angeles. He also starred in a few movies and had a
supporting role on the 2007 television series American Heiress.
