Robert learns from Flame that her partner's name is Quinn. He tries to get to Flame, playing on her interest in poetry. Kelly, drugged by Flame, ends up at the hospital with "food poisoning," but Quinn knows he can't delay making love to her for much longer. It's decided that Ric should hide in Mexico, but first he warns Tawny not to trust her father. Cruz searches Harland's apartment for evidence connecting him with the protest bombing. Quinn tries to cover when Hunt and Renfield become curious about "Robert's" connection to Debra London. Hunt takes it to mean that Debra has a thing for Robert and grows suspicious about her continued presence in Santa Barbara. He makes another date with Debra. Robert plays up to Flame by doubting her relationship with Quinn. Flame learns to her shock that Quinn plans on marrying Kelly for her money. Gretchen admits to Mack that she wishes Harland were dead.

Cassie fumes when she is fingerprinted for her driver's licence, and boils upon seeing Mason and Julia's reconciliation. In Harland's apartment, Cruz finds a damaging file on his mother, Carmen, indicating she was responsible for the death of Richard Atkins a long time ago. Cruz confronts his mother with this information. Ric goes to Mexico. Bunny is distraught when Annie is arrested.
