Summary

Michael and Nikki are playing pool at the bar when Ric interrupts, telling Nikki about a phone call from Marcos. Just then, Cruz arrives to watch his informant make a buy. Cruz and Michael bust a teen with Ice, but Cruz loses his cool and is held back by Ric while Michael steps in. The teen, Rob, admits to getting the drug for free on the beach from some Hispanic guy he's never seen before. Cruz and Michael convince Rob to work for them, realizing that an instant market is being created and they have to cut it off. They ask Ethan to form a task force and agree to his demand to keep the press out of it.

Derek and Kelly are at the Orient Express, but he senses her discomfort and reminds her he's not Robert Barr. This promts her to almost end the date, but Derek invites her to go to the TV station with him to preview Eden's piece on the children. After they watch it, Derek apologizes to Eden for being so skeptical and even Kelly tells her it was great. Meanwhile, after running into Derek and Kelly at the Orient Express, Ethan makes a mysterious call and advises the other person to watch Eden's piece on the orphanage. For his part, Derek watches the telecast sitting at his round table.

At the TV station, Eden is looking for her camerawoman, Linda, when she turns up and seems high. Meanwhile, Eden is frustrated when she learns that her new assignment is covering the Easter festivities. When Cruz fills Eden in on his case, she asks to be included on his team, but he can't do that because of Ethan's demand. They then watch Eden's telecast together.

Alone with Marcos, Nikki assumes she's being pushed for harbor duty so she can look the other way concerning his illegal smuggling activities. She demands to see her brother, refusing to sell out her friends unless she knows for sure he's fine. Later, Nikki is torn after Michael tells her about the drug operation.

Laura returns to her room with a newspaper and Annie asks her about this sudden interest in the news. When Laura insists that she has nothing to hide, Annie pulls out the gun. Laura forces Annie to give the gun and the bullets back by threatening to reveal that Annie killed her husband, but Annie also knows about Laura's car keys and the nurse uniform. Laura tells Annie to stop snooping around. Nevertheless, Annie wisely advises Laura not to shoot her husband, saying a gun is too easy to trace. Later, spying on Ethan through the window, Laura almost shoots him but remembers Annie's advice and is forced to hide when Cruz and Michael drop by Ethan's on official business. She then returns the gun to the desk drawer before Ethan can find it gone. Upon Laura's return, Annie wrongly assumes that Laura took care of her husband and is loony about it.
