Cruz brings in a guy who was found near Tom
Fellows' murder site with some
Ice on him. Boswell takes him in for questioning
and later provides Cruz with the information that
the Ice is being given out for free. Meanwhile,
Eden visits Cruz, worried about how easily
something could happen to him, and they talk about
Tom's widow. Nikki walks in on them and
asks Cruz about her test score, but he's too
preoccupied with the recent tragedy. Later, back
home, Cruz and Eden share an evening alone and he
tells her that Marie Fellows is pregnant. They
hold each other, but then Boswell calls to inform
Cruz that their informant is set to make a buy.
Eden tells Cruz she doesn't want to lose him and
he leaves after they exchange "I love you's."
Michael stuns Ric by telling him that Nikki is
engaged to Marcos. Ric talks about the sparks
between Michael and Nikki, and Michael doesn't
deny to him that she's beautiful. Cruz arrives and
informs Michael and Nikki that they've both passed
their police exams and they are to start tomorrow. Nikki
tells Marcos the news and asks him to let her
brother go, but he refuses and gives her navigational maps
to study. Later, to
become an official member of the police force, Michael is forced to lose his beard
and he later shows Nikki his shaven face. With some
encouragement from Ric, Michael and Nikki end up
playing pool together.
Kelly, Derek and C.C. return from a polo game.
Kelly announces she's doing her community service
at the children's home and Derek offers to take
her there. Eden is at the children's home for her
story, so she has a talk with Kelly and learns
she's going to be doing clerical work there. Eden
also sees Derek and he cordially tells her that the
interviews have done a lot of good for the home.
Kelly can tell that Eden is suspicious of Derek,
and later Derek invites himself to join Kelly (and her parents)
for dinner so he can learn more about
Stephen Slade.
Sophia has her first day on the film set,
feeling the pressure when Stephen calls her a
star. She even passes out, but is soon doing
better and her first scene is filmed. She's amazed when Stephen vividly recalls
her date and what she wore at a film premiere years
ago. Afterwards, at the Orient Express, we see
Derek's reaction when C.C. mentions having done
research and that nothing
is known about Stephen's early life.
