Summary
|
Mason and Julia get caught by Ethan in his
office, but Mason covers by claiming to be there
to discuss Kelly's DUI case. Julia distracts Ethan
while Mason does his thing, and they manage to
leave the office with the bullet. Back home, they
enlist Dante's help to find out if the bullet
matches Hunt's gun. After getting a call from
Dante, Mason confirms to Julia that it does.
Meanwhile, on the pretext that they're supposed to
be reconciled, Mason manages to get a kiss from
Julia when Kelly arrives before her sentencing.
Mason is also quick to point out to Julia that
she's wearing her wedding ring again "for
appearances' sake," of course. To keep
Augusta from catching on, Julia asks her sister to
move out. Later, Julia has a nightmare about
Sasha's corpse thawing and is comforted by Mason.
With Kelly due in court, C.C. urges his
daughter not to worry about any sentencing because
the judge is a good friend of his. Not wanting to
humiliate her parents, Kelly insists that she
doesn't want them at the courthouse. Mason acts as
Kelly's attorney at the hearing and Ethan as the
prosecutor, but they're caught off-guard by Judge
Wicks, a hard-nosed replacement for the other
judge. She sentences Kelly to a $1,000 fine, two
hundred hours of community service and revokes her
license for six months. Kelly takes it well,
refusing to let Mason get her off easier.
Meanwhile, Ric is stunned when Nikki tells him about
Kelly's arrest. He offers Kelly a lift after the
sentencing and they end up at Howie's Diner, where
he helps her get rid of a slick guy who's
interested in her. Ric gives Kelly a friendly
lecture and hints that they should help each other
stay in line.
Mack returns to the trailer and Gina's wearing
a crazy outfit that she's supposed to wear as the
diner. When
Augusta arrives to get her money, Mack mentions
Gina's new job and Gina is too emberrassed to tell
her what she'll be working at. She feels like her
talent is being wasted, so Mack tries to help by
becoming Augusta's dinner compagnion and showing
her Gina's designs. Meanwhile, Gina starts working
at Howie's Diner with Phyllis and
hides as soon as she spots Kelly and Ric, not
wanting the Capwells to see her working at a place
like this. Ethan also shows up at the diner and
Phyllis is trying to get rid of him when he sees
Gina, so he leaves.
As Marcos lurks in the background, Nikki has a
talk with Michael after the police exam. She's
nervous and they discuss the murder of the cop
last night. Marcos kisses Nikki in front of
Michael, reminding her they're supposed to be
engaged, and she surmises that Marcos had
something to do with the murder. Later, Nikki's
crying and when Michael says he's sure she did
fine, she says so is she.
